Photoshop Friday! Printable, giftable photo calendar!

It’s amazing what a good night’s sleep and a can of Diet Mt. Dew can do for someone’s outlook. :) I’m feeling really good today, and excited to share a gift with you. :)

Today’s download is a printable, giftable calendar. I’ve done this one up in true hybrid style, so there are two half-sheet pages per sheet, and it’s designed to be printed on letter-sized photo paper. You can mount each 8x5-inch photo to cardstock, and then bind it as you like. I’m going to use my Bind-it-All to add a coil binding to the top edge, so the calendar can be flipped over each month.

Plus (this should come as no surprise), I used my font-of-the-moment, Fling! :D

Here’s what the pages look like:

The layered .psd file comes with 4 colors of background paper, the cut striped paper, the ribbon, and layers for each of the months. Then there’s a layer where you can either clip or place a 4x4 cropped photo, and the frame around it.

I left it pretty unembellished, so you can add what you like: tags, brads, buttons, flowers - digital or traditional. My favorite. :) (You know I’m leaning toward the brad/button/flower approach after printing - it just adds that little extra somethin’.

All you need to do is crop your 12 photos, add them to this document, and turn the layers on and off while you print. It’ll take 6 sheets of letter-sized photo paper per calendar, but formatted like this they’re easy to mass-produce. :) These are huge hits among the grandparents every year at our house. :)

DOWNLOAD: The project is a .zip file that contains 1 layered .psd file, and 1 .png file with the calendar months, in case you want to use them on other projects.  Click here to download the .zip file (41 MB).

Have a super, Phabulous Photoshop Phriday! Daily December starts tomorrow! YAY! Holiday memories to be made and recorded. :D

btw...I have been able to see the images again since you gave the tip of clearing temp file folders and cookies, but I have to do it everytime I visit your site. Bizarre. I use IE.

Jessica - Did you do this as a hanging calendar or a standing one? You mentioned spiral binding. How did it all come together? I can do the digital stuff; it is the traditional parts that make me scratch my head. Thanks.

Hello Jessica
Just had to write and say thanks for the calendar that I just finished and put on my wall.
Also wanted to say that I am really enjoying your NWR class and so glad I signed up for it. I have printed out LivE's notes (2 go on letter size paper) and then I trimmed them and laminated them at 4x6, punched holes and added a small binding ring and have them hung by my computer and use them all the time. No dirty mess and they look great!
Your course is fantastic... and Happy Anniversary as well.
Oh, btw, is Candice's class mostly about portraiture photography? I scrap a lot about non-people stuff (I don't have any children) and wonder if it would be suitable for that.
