Follow-up from previous posts

Someone asked whether the numbers in the Daily December template can be changed. The answer is yes! Everything is on its own layer, so you can move things around, clip in different papers and elements, and generally customize it to your liking. :)

Several people asked how I stuck the number boxes to the wall.  The answer is: pushpins. They’re holding really nicely, too. :) Now i’ll just have to creatively put something over all 24 little holes in my wall. Alternatively, I thought about getting some plywood or foam core board or something, and attaching the  boxes to that. Didn’t happen this year. :)

What about that 3M sticky stuff that is made for hanging things on walls? It's supposed to come off without hurting the wall.. or taking the paint!

I ended up attaching mine to a blank canvas first because I was trying to avoid 24 holes in the wall. Now the darn thing is too heavy and keeps tipping forward. So . . . it would have probably been easier dealing with the holes.

Wow, I just realized what that was so I'm only 4 days behind. This will be so fun to make! I made the photo album calendar for my mom and Dean's mom and love how they turned out! We had our scripture reading tonight too. Thanks for all your ideas - they have gotten us in the spirit of Christmas! XOXO

I made one and velcroed the boxes to an old window - decorated the wood with a rub on "Christmas." Now I can use it for other things too - countdown to birthdays, vacations, whatever!

What about getting a sheet of metal and spray painting it with chalkboard paint and then using baseboard material to attache a "frame" to it. Then glue magnets onto the back of the boxes. You could leave the frame up all year with a place for quick notes (or just a place for the kids to draw on) etc.
