To all blog readers...I am taking the class right now and I have to tell you...$40 is a complete steal! I can't believe the knowledge I have learned and not to mention the great downloads.
I have been scrapbooking since 1996 and have met many of the "celebs". Jessica is the ONLY one that has impressed me with her talents and man...I am more impressed as the class continues.
I know this sounds like I am a stalker but really...I can't say enough kind words.
Jessica...you are such a rock star!

Jessica is a totally inspiring teacher and the class is not to be missed... Do we the intermediate students(not that I would class myself as one)... get a special invite to join the next class or do we have to jump on again in a special time frame.. So hope we get the invite just to join.. (sign me up I so don't want to miss it) I have been totally blown away with what I have learnt, and the video makes it so easy... Thanks Jessica & Jarod xx

I'm so thrilled to see this news Jessica! I met you at CKC Buffalo and was asking about how to delve into the digital waters...I really look forward to taking your class. Thanks so much--it looks like the current "students" love their teacher!

This U&R class has been the best experience. I was a complete newbie and have learned so much from Jessica. It has gone above and beyond what I ever expected. A big Thank You to Jessica & Jared (and all the beta-girls out there)! Can't wait til the next class.

Jessica
I'm assuming the beginning class is just that, beginning. If I've been doing your blog ps friday and the stuff in your mag, successfully, then I should hit the intermediate class.
just checking...

Let me just say it will be the best $40 you spend on scrapbooking this year! I am totally inspired and have learned SO much from this class. I was familiar with PSE, but had never done digiscrapping. I now have six completed pages, and a whole new understanding of PSE. The message board for this class has also been tremendously interesting and filled with resources and help. Jessica's videos are the best and you can watch them over and over. Run to registration! :-)

It looks like a lot of classmates got here before I did! But I am in total agreement that taking Jessica's class is the best money you can spend towards your scrapping future, esp. if you kind of, sort of know your program, but not really. Now, I KNOW my program and what it does and how EFFORTLESS it becomes once it is explained to you, Jessica-style! Seriously, invest in yourself!!! I plan to be in the next level of classes if at all possible! I will recycle Diet Pepsi cans if I have to, to come up with the money for Jessica's classes!!!!!!!!

If you're on the fence about whether to sign up, take it, take it! Seriously. I had been dinking around on my own trying to piece together knowledge from online tutorials through painful trial and error, and had even spent money on static video courses before, but this class was the ONLY thing that kicked my butt into making real layouts as a digi-scrapper.

Jessica is not only knowledgeable, but an excellent *teacher* (those things don't always go together). Her tutorials are well paced and clearly outlined (NOT always the case with others, lemme tell ya), and her enthusiasm is infectious. And the class message board, heheh, let's just say it's a serious meeting of the minds -- people post on there nonstop!

Okay, that's enough infomercial, I gotta get back to my day job! :P

Up. And. Running. Rocks.

Ok--have to jump in here, too, with all of my fellow classmates. Up and Running is an awesome class. Jessica is a wonderful teacher, and so true that being knowledgable and being a great teacher, don't often go together especially in teaching tech stuff. The videos are great--can stop and start as needed to work on the lesson. Plus great "field trips", freebies, discounts, inspiration, and the most helpful classmates on the planet. And, of course, Jared is a whiz, too. It's really interfering with my day job. ;)

One of the best scrapbooking classes I've taken-- just auto-sign me up for all Jessica's future classes. (Please come to CKC Portland, too!)

I am also one of Jessica's current students. Enough good cannot be said about the class or Jessica and Jared. Initially, because this was their first "live on-line teaching" experience, they were going to limit this first class to 40 students. Because of all of the hopeful students' enthusiasm and Paypal's website problems, enrollment could not start as scheduled. To be totally fair, Jessica and Jared made the decision to open the class to however many students enrolled before midnight on that enrollment day. Over 200 people enrolled. I would think this to be quite overwhelming as an instructor on a new website, but Jessica and Jared were the consummate professionals and students would never know there were more than the first 40 limited students. This is other than the proof of the size of the class from the great community built and the very active message board. I, too, will be signing up for all progressing classes offered by Jessica and Jared. I have taken many online PS classes and this is the very best with more than your moneys worth.

Up & Running has been the single-most AWESOME class I've ever taken! Jessica & Jared have gone over & beyond any expectations I had. Jessica's knowledge of Photoshop + Jared's computer expertise is a "phabulous" combo. I have gotten way more than my $40 worth out of this class. I'm finally having success with my Photoshop program. I had been so anxious to digi scrap and now I can and it's a blast! I will definitely be in Jessica's next class & I hope many more. It's been a wonderful experience. The personal time she takes with us is so amazing! She really cares, she has everything so organized for us, she explains it all so well and the videos are the best. She even sends daily e-mails! Our class message board & gallery are also truly amazing! What a wonderful group of people there! We all feel like good friends and we're so there for each other. I could go on & on but seriously, Up & Running has been terrific!

Okay, my posting will just get lost here, but...

AWESOME class, I WANT her software package they are doing this in -- it's great. I have led on-line classes and taken MANY, many on-line classes in the last 15 years. This is ONE of the absolute best!

She could teach "rocket science" and I think we all would learn it!!!! : D

Jessica is not only a talented designer, and a professional at all this scrapping stuff. She is also a GIFTED instructor and coach.

There were a few things that I was not "getting" on doing LOs in PSE (2,4 or 5) I took several different versions of "on-line" classes. I was getting the most out of the Photoshop Fridays, so when I heard Jessica was moving to on-line instruction -- I was there.

Jessica IRL is a great instructor!!
Thank-you for doing these sessions.

I, too, am a current student in U&R. I love this class and have learned so much. Jessica's style of teaching in awesome. I have been struggling trying to get into digi and PSE5 and can now say I really am on my way. Not only did I receive help from Jessica but my fellow classmates on the MB were very helpful and got me out of a couple jams. I would highly encourage you to take this class. I really think it is a wonderful opportunity.

Well, another avid fan and student in the current U&R class and I can ditto all that has been said here! I considered myself fairly Photoshop saavy and I have learned so many slick and easier ways to do things by taking this class! But also, it is just so great to be part of the community spirit that has evolved amongst the members of this first class! Jessica, you are an inspired and inspiring teacher and it really is my great blessing to have been able to join you in this class...

I am soooo excited to hear there will be an Intermediate class...whohoooo!!! Count me in!

And not to get lost here, thanks for the lesson on the scalloped edges...so wonderful that you are still commited to your Photoshop Fridays!

I'm trying to learn PSCS2. Will your class address the differences in the 2 programs for instructions?
July 6, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterSandee
Hi, I think I'm the "noisiest" poster in our U&R message board, so I'll try to keep this short. :P Jessica rocks. Jared rocks. The U&R class rocks.

If you don't take it, you'll be missing half of what PASSION is all about. I live halfway around the globe and stayed up almost 24 hours to get into the class, and I can seriously say I'd do it all over again, even twice the number of hours, for any and all the other classes that Jessica will give. What makes a big difference in the whole online class experience is the GENUINE care, support, and encouragement that Jessica & Jared give: that's RARE. Equally rare is the fantastic cyber friendships that have been formed through this class. It's like a little family we've built.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: this sets the benchmark really high for all the other online classes out there. It's PERFECT. Don't even think twice about signing up for her class: you have 200% to gain and absolutely nothing to lose. How much better can it get?

Oh and I forgot to mention: We have PSE and PSCS2 and CS3 users in the beta class, and we're all managing fantastically well. Mac or Windows? It's all good! If there are any differences in the instructions, you'll get direction where you need it. I can't sing enough praises. Seriously. Go. Sign. Up. Now. :D

I've been digi scrapping for over a year. Am self taught and decided to take the class anyway, just to see. Wow. I learned more short cuts, and alternative ways to do things that are much easier than the way I was doing them. I can't wait for her more advanced classes!
