The Nikon D50 was released in November 2005, and is among the best of the “pro-sumer” digital SLR cameras. This kit comes with a single lens (18-55), and then you can begin your journey of drooling over more and more lenses. :)

I recommend that if you’ve got a digital SLR camera, you really NEED to get a 50mm fixed lens. Sharp as a tack, this beauty can take indoor shots in low light, and is great for portraits, especially of children. For the price, it can’t be beat!
